You might have heard that PKM is dead. In today's Podcast episode, that is what I am talking about. I'm giving you my thoughts around the idea of PKM being dead. My newsletter…
Daniel Pour AsgharianHostIt has mainly been productivity applications and the saspocalypse I've been talking about.
The idea that everyone will vibe code their own productivity applications, and therefore we... we no longer need productivity apps.
But like, I don't think that is true because even though I've seen people and I've talked to people and people have commented that they are actually building their own productivity applications, it is something that takes a long while and you need a good understanding of how a productivity application should work.
and you need to think of your life as like or your productivity as just different workflows and you need to figure out like how can you build an app that helps you execute those workflows that is basically it that is how a productivity application is supposed to work and you need all of that to be able to create a good productivity application so All that to say that I don't think all apps will be gone and everyone will just vibe code their own applications.
It's still, even at the level where these applications are, it's still... needs a lot of time like you need a lot of time a lot of prompting a lot of back and forward until you're able to build what you are looking for and that isn't necessarily the AI or the models fault it is just that understanding everything you need in a productivity application and how it should be set up and how everything should work it is very very difficult And just figuring out a philosophy to build an app around is also very, very difficult.
