guys welcome back to another back to jerusalem podcast i'm eugene buck your host for this time and i'm coming to you live on delay from somewhere within the borders of southern china this time and i just wanted to give a really quick update for those of you that have been sending me messages asking about the situation inside of china with the ccp's new translation of the bible for those of you that have been following us for a while you'll know that we have been reporting on this situation with the CCP providing a new translation for the Bible.

And the reason why is that the Chinese Communist Party is looking for a more inclusive Bible translation.

They have found the current Bible and the current language to just be intolerable, especially with the the the the situation inside of china with their idea of communism and atheism um they have found that that christians with their bible are just not movable so if you can't beat them join them with a new translation as it were so what has happened is that in 2019 or around 2019 the ccp took on a five-year project of working on a bible translation and the bible translation goals are to make the bible more inclusive in the language as a in regards to socialism and in regards to buddhism taoism confucianism the the indigenous religions of china china wants to see a more inclusive bible that is why they are working on a new Bible translation and they started this in 2019 and we have been reporting about it.

However, anybody that's been following the story will realize that the situation has gone quiet.

In fact, there's a lot of misinformation that is out there, especially as it pertains to this Bible translation.

There's a lot of people and I've even been questioned by other organizations that say, hey, listen, we know people that are a part of this Bible translation project.

We know that this Bible translation project is going to be a good one because there are trustworthy individuals that are working on it.

That was in 2009, it's now 2026, so obviously it's taking longer than five years.

It's now a 10-year project, and if you go and look it up, it will say, or anything that's kind of information about this Bible translation project will say that it's always been a 10-year project, which isn't true.


So because of that, There were a lot of things that were happening inside of China because of COVID-19.

There's a lot of things that are more secure inside of China than before because of COVID-19.

There are certain things that were supposed to happen with the monitoring of people that was taking place on a regular basis and the social scale of raiding people.

So we had this social media scale where the Chinese government can actually use a rating system to find out whether you are worthy to buy things or shop for things or travel or whatever based on this social scale.
