Roland-Philippe KretschmarHostand just to kind of, um, clear this out for the listeners who might actually not know you yet.
Um, but they might know, um, Hilde Hilfenstein, who passed away, unfortunately, a couple of months ago.
She was a guest on this podcast, actually one of the first guests.
primarily, but also she had a big meme account called Jerry Gagosian.
And she, of course, also then ridiculized and made satire of the weirdness of the art world.
But to my question, what would you say is the main difference between what Hilde did with Jerry Gagosian and what you do with Art Daddy?

I think Hildy was incredibly important in paving the way for accounts like mine.

Mima's critique, I think, became more in vogue because of her using that format to think about larger institutional issues of power, misogyny, just sort of things happening in the industry.

She started it, I think, in 2019 and was anonymous up until like Maybe it was 2018 she started the account, but she had like a good two or three year run where people didn't know who she was.

But I think that really kind of helped other accounts do what she was doing in a way to be able to call things out.

I think for me, the main difference between what I do and what she was doing is also that I mean, I am a journalist.

So I think I'm really thinking about it from the power structures I'm working within as she was.

But I think my perspective as an educator and as a journalist has really become sort of top of mind in terms of how I approach it.
