What did we think of this film? Has anyone seen it before? It's the first time I've seen it.
Why did I not know this existed? And basically roughly the same reaction again.
If for no other reason that it feels a bit like the outside world is catching up with the world.
I mean, it's set in 1999, which I think is probably mostly for thematic reasons.

And I listened to that track this morning, and it is quite clearly Angela Bassett, if you're listening for it, having... recently seen a film that that's the spot i mean it's it's kind of a throwaway line in the film but um yeah that's that's probably this weirdly this this film's claim to posterity but yet it's legitimately really good this this does not deserve to be a slightly forgotten film and we were discussing just before recording that a lot of these people were kind of on the upward curve in terms of their careers at this point a lot of these people were fairly newly broken into the film business, but in a big way.
So effectively now it's got a star-studded cast and what a performance, especially from Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett to absolute acting heavyweights.
I think it would have been easy to make Lenny just an egotistical, smarmy pusher, which is kind of what he's written as.
