The Dirge of Bilqis, Jeht's Second World Quest | Episode 138

[laughs]

This week, we're returning to the desert, and if you're new to Tales of Teyvat, this is not the first time that we have ventured out into the Sumeru Desert with not enough water, not enough sunblock, and definitely not enough paper in our notebooks for all of the lore that we continue to get.

We're doing it all in chronological order.

We have finally made it to present times.

This is our second episode that really is mostly in game time, which is exciting.

But, uh, if you wanna check out our past episodes about the desert, some of which will definitely help you understand certain parts of this episode, especially when we talk about Gurabad, uh, you can check out episode 34, The Gods of the Desert, episode 54, Liloupar and the Fall of Gurabad, episode 64, because we apparently loved fours for these at first-

[laughs]

...

Remnants of Gurabad, episode 78, The Temple of Silence, episode 85, Khare Land, and episode 105, The Golden Slumber, which is our part one of Jeht's story, one of our favorite NPCs, who has given us white day art and has recently shown up again in story.

Mm-hmm.

In our last episode about Jeht, episode 105, The Golden Slumber, we met Jeht and her dad Jabriil, where we went on a little bit of an adventure with them.

And we also met her mom's asshole cousin, Tirzad, who totally thought that Jeht's dad was a himbo and was not good enough for his cousin.

Mm-hmm.

We found out that Jeht's mom was dead, RIP, and sooner rather than later, Jeht's dad ends up also dying as he enters the Golden Slumber, which was something set up by, uh, King Deshret many, many moons ago.

We won't get too into that.

You can check out the last episode if you wanna learn more.

But when we last saw Jeht, despite the fact that her, both her parents were dead, she had now found Benben, a triangular technical companion-

[laughs]

... to hang out with.

Mm-hmm.

And despite her grief, she was ready to thrive.

Yeah.

I mean, who doesn't need a Primal Con- Construct as a best friend?

I mean, Kaveh seems to thrive with his.

Yeah.
