What lessons do you think you learned from working in entertainment that apply to leadership in politics?

I spoke earlier on production etiquette and I think that is very much a thing that everybody should know in real life translated to everything.

So I have that production etiquette where where I've learned to trial and fire, you know, having, having executive producers scream on me, scream at me on camera or off on, on set when I fuck up something as a, as a PA versus being a professional producer and talking with Netflix executives and having them go, this cast is amazing.

You know, it's like it is dealing with, with very professional high profile people at a certain level.

And, you know, it's taken me 20 years of experience to be able to not only just turn that on and turn it off, but to have that be part of my personality.

It is essential to, you know, be able to talk about an issue and sound like, you know, everything that you know, everything about it, but also be confident in what you're talking about.

Um, I think that's a very good transition as to what I'm bringing to the table.

The amount of professionalism I learned doing everything I've done in my career is so needed in Hawaii.

Just kind of laid back, little lax, not as buttoned up or quick, quick, um, or, um, um, not quick, um, efficient,

Um, like you, like I said, if I send somebody email out here, it's like, I expect to meet a response.

Like if I'm sending you an email at two o'clock in the afternoon and you work for the electric company, you're probably sitting at your desk in front of a computer and you see it and you should be able to respond but it takes a day or two to get back and I have to call and be like hey did you like I'm trying to figure this out you know and it's following up on that and I feel that kind of professionalism really you know is what I exude it's what I bring to the table but to bring it into a political setting where you know This is politics, but things in Hawaii don't get done quickly at all.
