Good morning to everyone, and welcome to The Well here at STSA.
Welcome to those who are joining us here in Arlington.
Welcome to those who are on the other side of the camera at many of the various churches in our network that are streaming us today.
The reason why we started this series is so often when we think of heroes of the Bible, we think of men.
But we also know that there is just as many wonderful women of the Bible who God used just as mightily.
Women like Eve, like we talked about in the first week.
Women like Sarah.
Women like who we talked about last week, which escapes me at the moment right now.
[laughs] Been a long week for me right here.
So what we saw is, what we've been seeing is that God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is also God of Sarah, Rebecca, and Rachel, and he's God of the females just as much as of the males.
And in this series, we've been looking at famous women who did great things, okay? Heroes or heroine of the scriptures.
And today, we are going to wrap up with all my, my...
All my due respect to Saint Mary, she's the greatest of the greatest of the greatest, but my favorite female character in the scripture, we're gonna talk about today.
I love this lady so much that when I first read her story, I almost named my daughter after her.
It was actually that...
So I named my daughter Elizabeth.
This was the runner-up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You, you wish you had that name, too.
It's a beautiful name, okay? [laughs] And I almost named her this.
Like, now it's a name that a lot of people have, so it's like a, a...
But this was back in the day where very few people were named that.
I think that's why I kinda chickened out, but I'm happy with Elizabeth.
It worked out for us.
Okay.
She saved him from a major regret that if he would've done this thing, which she stopped him from doing, his story wouldn't have been the same.
It wouldn't be what we know today, wouldn't be who we look at today.
And obviously, who I'm speaking about today is Abigail.
Raise your hand if you know the story of Abigail.
Yes.
Okay.
Some, but not all.
Okay.
Very good.
You're in for a treat today because Abigail's the one of the best stories in the entire Bible, and I'm gonna do my best to tell her story and get out of the way because her story speaks volumes about her beauty, true beauty inside and outside.
