Robin Hood

You are one of these people.

And if you're like more of a knight personality or the warlord personality, the Jesse James, the outlaw with a gripe personality, the Robin Hood or William Wallace or Jack Sparrow, Maybe you're the Alexander the Great or Horatio Nelson or Elijah or John the Baptist.

These are a few of my personal heroes.

And then he's in a couple other things that I've never heard of in 2012.

But then that basically leads right into this.

I see the major oak here.

Probably the most famous resident of Sherwood Forest after Robin Hood, of course.

The iconic major oak is an ancient giant that absolutely cannot be missed.

Yeah.

That tree, 2,000 years later, is still sacred, and everyone's like, I still want that tree to be taken care of.

Now, there are oak trees, like the major oak, which is a tree that was just growing out in the middle of Sherwood Forest, which is the hunting grounds for the king and the monarchy at the time, right? Yeah.

And they decided that, like, wow, this is allegedly where Robin Hood and his merry men would make camp.

The major oak was where they would go and meet up.

Moreover, a great part of the time appointed for the disputations was vainly spent in most contumelious taunts, hissings, clapping of hands, and triumphs, more than tolerable, footnote intolerable, end footnote, even in stage plays, and that in the English tongue, to get the people's favour withal.

And then when they were doing covers for Lake Street Dive, he was like, well, why don't we try it? And it turned into one of the most incredible songs I've ever heard.

It also came about because one of my friends sent me a meme that was Little John from Disney's Robin Hood when he goes to try the burnt soup and he has that really like, ugh, like, ugh face.

But it just says, when the riff comes back but slower and nastier.

Because I make that face when I see bands where that happens and you're like, this is nasty but in like the best way possible good nasty exactly so i will say that i made little john face listening to this cover the entire time so i haven't had a like a really musical uh one in a long time but i am digging on lake street dives cover of you're still the one it's nasty In the best way possible.

And it's, like Sean said, it's not... crime in the sense of crime if for us it wasn't crime it was just reappropriation whether the money sits in the vault or in our hands distributing whatever we did what's it has more benefit than the government printing trillions of dollars fake money and throwing it out to people or do you see what i'm saying what's the difference tell me

He was not Robin.

It was characteristic of him that he usually smoked Robin Hood, that admirable five-cent cigar, because the name and the picture of an outlaw on the band reminded him of the 14th century ballads he knew by heart.
