Crows: Reviewed; and the Granny

Um, none more than what has been maybe the best week of finals footy I can recall-

[laughs]

...

in all of my years, uh, Tom.

But I'm very interested in what you made of what was, uh, a, a couple of remarkable games.

I mean, Sydney-Fremantle was superb, and it sort of paled in comparison to what we saw on Saturday night.

It's been lost a bit, hasn't it, since everything that happened on Saturday night? I think, Hooky, I wish I was there, for one, and I'm sure you're the same, but probably the best game I've watched on TV for the last 20 years, maybe ever.

It was just phenomenal, the pace, the high scoring, the big marks, the great goals.

It had it all.

The drama, the finish, all of it.

It was just unbelievable.

So huge tick for the game.

There was some controversy, clearly, which we'll get to, but it just reminded you why football can be so invigorating and, and so incredible to watch.

Question without notice.

What's the best game, uh, we've all seen great games of footy, but the best game you've commentated on?

I reckon the, the Port-Hawthorn finish a few years ago was good fun, when Darcy Byrne-Jones kicked the goal off the ground.

Yes.

And it wasn't a particularly great game, but just because of the finish.

Yeah.

Um, that's one that comes to mind.

Um, commentated.

Gee, there's been a few good ones over the years.

All the showdowns are always really exciting, Hooky.

Um, you know, they're great to be a part of.

Um, but it's always those close finishes that do it, isn't it? You know, the, the Adelaide-Geelong prelim final.
