[laughs] I've heard that before.

Like, like, it's just-- it's-- there's so many good players in the SANFL, the WAFL and the VFL.

Um, and the thing is with football, obviously at eighteen, we're all getting drafted, and there's a few from eighteen to twenty that lose a bit of the passion or it's a little bit too hard or they're doing their study or apprenticeships and they drop away.

But sometimes when you get these blokes that are still keen and they've done everything they can to get the chance again at, at twenty-two, twenty-three, um, you, you know that they've just got such a passion for it and they've worked on their game.

And we're hoping desperately, of course, that we can – win on Saturday and Saturday night and then plotting the idea of if we can secure any affordable flights flying to Melbourne, watching the prelim and then coming back in time to watch Norwood in the grand final in the obvious NFL.

So I suspect that might be beyond us financially.

We can live and dream.

Boss on Crowcast was mentioning that as well, and it's really frustrating.

So that was definitely a bad on the SNFL behalf.

And, of course, the AFL don't want to have access to anyone, do they? No.

Right.

Anthony Long is a sure thing, and he'll just be a long-term prospect up in the forward line.

But Jake Imey had a really good couple of games in the SNFL for us, playing off the half-back flank.

and just has what it takes to make it in the AFL, has good IQ, really good kick, good decision-making.

And if we got him as our first pick, he'd be a long-term prospect in the midfield.

He just puts the right players in the right roles.

Uh, he values defense, but he understands how important attack can be on the back of that and the demands of the SANFL.

How, how has he been for your footy, Nick?

Yeah, no, he's been excellent.

I think you summed it up really well.

Well, obviously Sheed himself has played a lot of SANFL footy and gets the sort of life-footy balance as good as anyone and, uh, yeah, he, he's been great for me and, and the club in general and all the players.

Um, you know, like he, he-- We all have our own, um, strengths and, and weaknesses as well, and he, he, he puts us in positions to really flourish with those and, you know, sort of within a structured side of things.

So, um, yeah, he, he's been awesome for me.

And the Waffle sort of played a part in a theme across, uh, you know, football this weekend, with teams finishing in the top four going out in straight sets in the first semi.

There's, there was Tasmania and Werribee in the VFL, Glenelg in the SANFL, and then Perth in the WAFL.

Football can be a mad game.

It just shows you that it doesn't matter what happened in the home and away season.

But, uh, Nic Rovquer, he was the one to get it done.

Tremendous player, and, uh, it's a pity that his, uh, stint at Short, at Swan Districts was short-lived through well-documented segments.

But look what he's gone on to do at Norwood in the SANFL.

Yeah, short but sweet.
