Opening tomorrow, October 2nd, the most powerful man in the world sets out on a mission.
This is Digger.
Mr.
President, 55 minutes ago, my company informed me of the explosion on our rig.
Causing massive water displacement and triggering a tsunami.
What was estimated
casualties in the hundreds of thousands? Now Digger here got us into this mess and Digger's gonna dig us out.
Directed by
Digger stars Oscar nominee Tom Cruise as an oil tycoon who is billed as the most powerful man in the world who unleashes some kind of environmental disaster and then wants to prove he's the only man who can save humanity.
At least, that is what the blurb describes it as.
This looks to be very strange.
The cast includes a lot of heavy hitters, including Oscar nominees Sandra Hueller, Michael Stuhlbarg, Riz Ahmed, and Jesse Plemons, as well as John Goodman.
That's a loaded cast.
Word is that it is extremely divisive, so I'm trying to ignore some of the criticisms I've heard, and I want to go into it with an open mind.
I'm hesitant with this prediction, but I'm going to go with my initial instinct when I first saw the trailer months ago, since that's what the point of these trailer talk episodes are.
And I'm going to say I think it will be a see-it, but I will not be surprised if I end up not liking it, because it really does look very strange.
