Alright, so the next episode is going to be a triple feature of Oliver Stone's Nixon leaving Las Vegas starring Nicolas Cage and then The American President directed by Rob Reiner starring Michael Douglas and Annette Bening and written by Aaron Sorkin.

And yeah, in my sad state, I watched most of the American president and, um, you know, Aaron Sorkin, he went on to like, you know, do the West wing and the newsroom and all that shit.

So, my issue with the newsroom was...

And there were many of them.

Right down to the classic Aaron Sorkin.

Like, here's this damaged middle-aged man and the only thing that can fix him is this whimsical woman.

um great great character development for the women oh yeah yeah yeah um the newsroom always did the convenient thing of we're gonna like show you how we would have handled the news from something that happened a year ago and then we're gonna do a soliloquy it's like just you insist upon yourself aaron sorkin you insist upon yourself i

It's so...

It reminds me a lot of what David Fincher did and Aaron Sorkin did for the social network and, like... constant, fast, interweaving dialogue that's kind of moving at breakneck speed.

And I think that four-way call is a great example of like everyone is talking over each other and the ball is bouncing in every direction at a pace that feels thrilling and adrenaline-inducing.

And it fits for the emotions of where we are in the story because like, gosh, like the rug has been ripped out from under them.
