We both started reading Verity the other day, didn't we? Yeah, I'm only on

chapter six.

Yeah, I binged the whole book in a night because I was just like, I started reading it and I was like, right, let's just finish this, get it out of the way.

Again, I think I only read them because I knew the film was coming

out.

Verity is just...

We should discuss it at some point because I think most politicians will have read the book.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, I don't think I'll really stop 'cause it's the, it's the only audiobooks that I've been listening to, so I think I will just keep going, 'cause we don't really have to read Verity until later.

It's from a book also called Verity by a writer called Colleen Hoover.

You guys, if you're even a half of a reader, I can't even say if you're a reader, but if you can... sacrifice your time and read a book.

You read the book very deep.

And then fast forward a few minutes later, she makes it for her meeting and she realizes that the guy who she was with in the bathroom stall at the cafe is the one who she's in a meeting with.

And she has been contracted to finish his wife's book series.

Here's where it gets really interesting.

Book number two is Verity.

Picking up Verity after reading her other works is the literary equivalent of buying a ticket to a heartfelt romantic drama, sitting down with your popcorn and suddenly realizing the projector is playing a suffocating, Hitchcockian psychological thriller.

It really is.

It is a massive, violent genre pivot.

And it is her highest rated book on this list.

Verity holds a towering 4.6 Goodreads rating.

To put that in perspective, scoring a 4.6 on a platform notorious for cynical readers is nearly impossible for a thriller.

And what did you say about thrillers? What would you like as a thriller? a big mix of thrillers really I

think my all time favourite still has to be Verity by Colleen Hoover though

it just it proper shocked me it was one of the I hadn't read a thriller in ages and it just it got me back into the genre

I was about to say, did that get you back into thrillers? Because a lot of people have said that.

She wrote really soft, romantic, well, not romantic, it was written romance.

And then all of a sudden you're reading Verity and you're checking to see, is that author the same person? Because what? I was like, she was on the shrooms at this stage.

There is no way.

apple tv newer adaptation so we'll be doing both of those and then we're doing the love hypothesis yeah which is one of my

favorite books by that author is it ali hazelwood hazelwood yes and um the adaptation comes out like the end of the month yeah and then we're going to do Verity by Colleen Hoover this is like the most loved Colleen Hoover book and it's the one I haven't read and Verity literally has Anne Hathaway so I'm like we have to do this
