So Scott, we talk about it, and we're gonna talk about sort of where we have j- guys projected today over on Fantasy Points versus where Jared has them projected over on Draft Sharks.

What, what's the difference between, like, a projections and a rankings? Because I think people get into it this time of year.

Like, we talked about this in the pre-show where you're like, "Projections are not rankings." Why don't you clarify on that?
So this is something Chris and I talk about constantly where, like, I look at his, his Jakobi Meyers ranking relative to BTJ, relative to Parker Washington.
Jakobi Meyers is, like, just a guy from a fantasy perspective." And, you know, the argument that Chris is gonna make is like, "Yeah, well, you're ranking these players where you should draft them to win your league.
I'm just the baseline median projection." And it's like, yeah, Jakobi Meyers' range of outcomes relative to this, you know, projection is, like, plus or minus 10 points, right? And Parker Washington is plus or minus 80 points.
Um, but you need to have good projections, which is why if you're drafting this summer, I highly recommend you follow my draft guide, my rankings, where I'm gonna be using Chris's projections.
I'm gonna use that as the baseline, and then a- adjust up or down based on, you know, remembering that upside is more valuable, the downside is detrimental, and baking that into my rankings.

What about, uh, your thoughts on this, uh, Jared? And, and I heard JJ Zachariason talking about it this week over on one of his pods.

But do you sort of echo sh- uh, Scott's thoughts on this one? Or are you, are you seeing it pretty much the same way in the, in the projections versus rankings where you go and look at the rankings over at Draft Sharks, they're not gonna completely line up on the projections?
Um, now we do it differently on Draft Sharks where our, our projections are our rankings.
And the biggest reason we do that is so that we can, um, tailor our rankings to your league scoring system, right? So i- if you're gonna go on Draft Sharks, you're gonna punch in your league scoring system.
It's gonna take that scoring system, apply it to our projections, and spit out customized rankings for you.
Now, the, what we do to kind of, you know, combat the issue of, you know, wanting to weigh upside more in rankings than projections is we have, we have ceiling projections and floor projections for every single player, along with a likelihood of hitting that ceiling.
It's gonna take in to account the baseline projection, the floor and ceiling, kinda weigh that all into a, you know, algor- algorithm, and you'll spit out that, that final ranking for you.
