Lamentations | Week 3 | Hope for the Broken

Four weeks ago, I was preaching in an Anglican church just beside St. Pancreas Station in London.

They were doing a five-week series on Jubilee, the idea of freedom, and they had emailed and said, could you speak on spiritual freedom? And I said, you want me to clarify that in 30 minutes? And they said, we would really love if you could do that.

And so I took some time to pray, realizing that what the Lord was doing there was significant and wanted to keep in step with the Spirit.

And unexpectedly to me, the Holy Spirit brought me back to the moment we had just been through as a church, just before Easter, where we'd done all the wrong versions of the gospel.

And the Lord highlighted that sermon I'd given here called the gospel according to Satan.

And he said, I would like you to use that.

And I said, Lord, is that you or am I just tired? He said, no, use it.

And so I went and I preached a variation of what we learned here.

It was the second service.

Young guy came up, probably mid-20s, very well dressed.

And he said, can I speak to you? I said, it would be a delight.

How can I help you? And he said to me, Thank you for telling me how they talk to me.

And I said, what do you mean by that? He said, this is my third time in church.

Before that, I've never been in a church in my life.

I have zero Christian background.

He said, I've just been in Thailand, in the Philippines, trying to find myself.

And about a month ago, he said, while I was over there, I had a dream.

And in that dream, I was shaving my head.

He said, now I need you to understand that the most valuable thing on my body is my hair.

And I will admit he had good hair.

And in the dream, I was shaving my head and my friends were in the dream screaming at me to stop shaving my head.

And there was darkness among my friends.

And then suddenly an angel appeared in front of me and said, Ezekiel, Ezekiel.

And I woke up in a panic.

He said, now, I didn't know who Ezekiel was because I've never read the Bible.
