6:37
Yeah.
6:37
And I'm seeing revival happen at the exact same time.
6:41
And then I'm seeing a lot of people, by the way, call things revival that aren't revival at all, 'cause everyone's using that word like slang, and they shouldn't be 'cause it's an actual thing.
6:49
It's not what you want it to be.
6:51
So I was like, how do we deal with the dissonance of losing and then winning, and then trying to work out how I witness in a pre-Christian, post-Christian, de-Christian, re-paganizing, nominally Christian moment where you've got postmoderns and modernists, uh, and spiritualists and religious people, and it's like every conversation we have every second, whether online or with a neighbor, I have to pivot the gospel in a different direction, and I just was seeing a lot of leaders and a lot of people not do it well, not think through it well.
7:21
And so I just said, "I think it's time we have like a really robust conversation about, okay, um, why the incarnation matters." We'll get to that in a minute.
7:29
Uh, how do we do this well? Because it's really...

6 MINS LATER

13:02
Then I don't know what that means for me then.
36:19
Yeah.
36:19
So I'm so glad you brought this up, because number one, thanks for your vulnerability, uh, this afternoon even talking about that.
36:25
Um, and here's why, because your pain and trauma have informed your spirituality 100%.
36:32
[smacks lips] And so you grew up in an environment that was like the Marines, right? Like ask, fast, pray, expect, demand.
36:40
And when it didn't happen, I, I say this all the time in spiritual theology, um, we have to be profoundly careful about the expectations we build for our people, 'cause there are things that are guaranteed, there are things that are not guaranteed, and we have to be profoundly honest about what's guaranteed, what's not guaranteed, and when.
37:00
So like when I talk about revival, for example, there's a whole set of criteria we talk about publicly during that, that is not guaranteed during normal periods.
37:08
It's just, it's not even the same thing.

41 MINS LATER

77:49
Fair.
11:07
John, what do you think about what Julian had to say, given, you know, that there are currently, again, in the last few weeks, there are all of these cases of people who've been the focus of missing persons investigations who have turned up dead?
11:24
Let's start with that story and we can get into what's worth saying about it from an analytical perspective after that.
11:32
There was a press conference from Mishka Gogeming chief and a number of family members over Node and Skunk and Ashland Bottle, who were missing at that time.
11:44
And they were found, unfortunately, passed away inside of grain elevators, they were inside of a mill, and it looks as though they fell.
11:54
And And then within a week, there was another press conference with the family of Kelsey Anderson and a 36 year old who was in town doing training for KCATS while they were searching for Andersons.
12:13
They found the body of Richard Graham, whose father is a member of Fort William First Nation, and he had been missing since July 2024.
12:23
And he was found about 100 yards away wearing the same clothes he was wearing when he disappeared two years prior.

11 MINS LATER

23:36
I guess, John, what does this mean, if anything, for your future coverage of the Thunder Bay Police Service and its board?
0:17
Hope you're ready right now, and let's all dive deeper into God's Word.
0:22
Well, good morning, everyone.
0:24
Happy long weekend to you.
0:25
Glad that you're here today.
0:31
It's great to be back with you.
0:34
Four weeks ago, I was preaching in an Anglican church just beside St. Pancreas Station in London.
0:45
They were doing a five-week series on Jubilee, the idea of freedom, and they had emailed and said, could you speak on spiritual freedom? And I said, you want me to clarify that in 30 minutes? And they said, we would really love if you could do that.
