Sacred Men exists to build strong and virtuous men in a weak and degenerate culture.
Listen, here's the guy that I'm talking to.
I've been getting messages, guys that feel like they didn't have a great upbringing and they feel like because of that, their desires run them more than they control their emotions.
He scrolls too much and he knows it and he hates it.
And yet he still can't seem to stop.
This is the guy who flips out on his wife or kids and then feels the shame spiral afterwards.
The man who's tried many times to white knuckle his way to discipline and it just hasn't worked.
And he feels like there's something wrong with him.
This is the dude who thinks, yeah, yeah, this man stuff, this motivational stuff, this virtue stuff, this discipline stuff.
Yeah, this self-control stuff.
Yeah, this works for everybody else.
Works for some other type of guy, but it doesn't work for me.
Now, one of the things I've been hearing a lot lately from men who are trying to change and they're trying to become more disciplined and develop self-control is I just feel like I'm too far behind and it's impossible for me to change.
Now, I get that.
And there is like a sliver of truth to that.
Like we were all born in different places with different parents.
We've had different experiences.
And if life is like a race, it feels like some of us were born a mile behind the starting line.
Like you look around and it's obvious.
Other dudes got something you didn't.
Maybe they had a dad and you didn't.
Maybe they had a great coach that pulled something out of them and you didn't.
Maybe they joined the military.
You didn't.
I get how it feels.
