Looking ahead at the leaders debate, Canadian in space, mail-in ballots, seasonal vaccinations and Victoria tourism economy boom

What is Wednesday? Wednesday's a lot of things.

So Wednesday is the, uh, the provincial leaders debate.

We're gonna be broadcasting that tonight.

It's coming up after 6:00, uh, right here on the airwaves.

You can also watch it on our, our partner TV station, CTV.

Hmm.

They're gonna broadcast that as well.

You're gonna get to see three of the leaders: the NDP, the Conservatives, and the Greens.

So David Eby, Lauren Dirksen, and Emily Loewen will be the three to take the stage.

Right.

Uh, Dallas Brody and Eleanor Sturko will not be on the stage.

They are other party leaders as well-

Right

...

but without official party status in the legislature.

Uh, so that's who you'll see coming up tonight.

I think this is gonna be critical for the BC election, 'cause a bunch of polls you see continue to show, you know, a fairly tight situation.

The Conservatives currently are ahead, I believe, in a lot of the polls you see.

Mm-hmm.

But it, uh, it could be a tight race, and I think there's still a lot of decisions to be made, uh, with...

You know, people know David Eby, but they don't necessarily know Lauren Dirksen as much.

Um-

No, and I think people are scrambling to get to know him-

Yeah

... more, uh, [laughs] 'cause, because it's happening so quickly, and f- you know, it's happening, um, you know, on the heels of a municipal election as well.
