TUESDAY TALK: @RealJBSportsMan inquires about game week preparation changes for @RazorbackFB team, HC @RSilverfield defends detached sideline demeanor, @Vol\_Football HC Josh Heupel gets tired of QB…
And as we start the conversation today, thank you so much for joining us and making us a part of your day.
We will get to some of that talk as we work through the show today on the baseball postseason.
Uh, a really fun Monday night game last night and, uh, a little bit of everything else as we work it through.
And I think one of the struggles that people have, especially in the day and age that we're living in now, is their inability to discern the gray.
I don't see a lot of gray out there in media land, let alone, uh, in people in general.
Seems like we're living in a highly polarized world, maybe more than we've seen in America, I can't speak to all times, but certainly in my lifetime, where it's either my opinion or it's, "I'll tell you why you're wrong." [laughs] You know what I mean? Like, that's not really the way humanity operates.
More so this thing is a collabo, more so it's somewhere in the middle, some kind of gray.
But right now you got folks on one end, you know, just screaming every time they lose that this is the worst operation ever.
And then you do get a little bit of the fringe on the other side saying when they beat Tulsa, "All right, maybe we need to back off a little bit." Is it possible that both attitudes are correct at the same time? Yes, I think it is.
When you're talking Arkansas Razorback football in 2026, you have to have the full 360 degree, you know, 30,000 foot bird's-eye view, whatever you wanna call it, of how Razorback football got to where it is now.
You got a, you got a lopsided, kind of wayward athletic department that doesn't seem like it's held accountable, which is a big problem in government in general.
Anybody in any kind of administration, uh, or bureaucracy out there knows that there's a lot of fluff out there.
Heck, uh, you know, current president, that was one of his big things, right? "I'll get the, I'll get the idiots out and I'll go be the idiot." I mean, it worked for him.
Um, you can always point that the next guy needs to come in and fix the situation.
You fire Ryan Silverfield right now, give him a $20 million check to go away, what does that do for you? That puts you in a deeper, darker abyss.
