1 Kings 1:28-40: Appointed not Personally Promoted

This is Reading Through the Bible with Gateway Church.

Pastor Michael here.

Man, it's good to open up God's Word with you.

I'm, I pinch myself sometimes thinking about, uh, the fact that the Lord has entrusted me to share God's Word with God's people at this church for such a time as this.

Uh, this church means so much to me.

I grew up here, came to faith here as a young boy, was baptized here, felt called to ministry as a result of, uh, growing up and being discipled here in this church and in its youth group, and so many men and women that invested in me over the years here at Gateway.

And now to be back here, uh, entering into my seventh year of ministry, it's a blessing and an honor, and I do not take it for granted.

And this is just one of the ways that we're trying to share God's truth, uh, and encourage each other to grow in our walk with God.
