Why Does God Allow False Teachers?

There's a lot of questions that come with this question as well, and I want to address all those, and we're going to look at Scripture.

But we're asking, because the very existence of these false teachers and these big ministries When we're a part of it, you're already leaving because you got hurt or whatever.

And on top of that, now you're wrestling with the existence of these ministries.

And we're thinking, if God's good, if he's all powerful, if he loves us, then why would he allow these ministries to deceive all of us in the name of Christ, in the name of God, in the name of the church of Christ? Why doesn't he just stop false teachers? He could do that.

And that's a question I used to ask when I was an alcoholic.

I would always ask God, if you really can do all this, why don't you just deliver me? Well, I was asking him to deliver me on my terms.

When I surrendered to him, when I submitted myself, I was actually regenerated, actually freed.

I was delivered from an awful lot, and I didn't have any deliverance minister.

It was just God that did it.

But we ask these things.

Why can't God just do it? He could.

Why don't you just stop him? Why does he allow these ministries to get so big, to gain so many followers, so much influence, so much money? And credibility.

A lot of false teachers get credibility.

Rick Warren used to be called America's pastor.

And he barely even touches the gospel.

He like skirts around it.

But why does he allow people to be hurt? Because some of the hurt, we carry it for the rest of our lives sometimes.

Families are destroyed.

Now scripture is going to give us a lot of answers, but I'm going to give you a little trigger warning here.

We're going to have to hold some difficult truths together.

So you've got to prepare yourself to

hear what God has to say, ask him to help us be okay with it,

and then trust him to redeem.

And it all can be done.

I'm living proof of that.
