were sacks this time it was a concerted effort and he should have had more rush attempts of saving a header wouldn't have stolen some of those from him and Bryce Underwood's now Michigan's leading rusher in consecutive games first time for a Michigan quarterback in back-to-back games since Devin Gardner in 2013 against Notre Dame in Akron but offense still has a long way to go in my opinion they have bought themselves time to get there given that they're 2-0 now somehow some way and know jordan marshall is averaging three and a half yards of carry savion hyder is averaging 1.6 yards per carry savion hyder has over three times as many receiving yards as he does rushing yards so they need to figure out a way to be more effective on the ground i don't like the mountain west big 12 flavor that jason beck has brought to this offense when it comes to some of the run play calls that he chose but i love what he draws up in the quarterback run game and then the defense absolutely incredible i thought this was going to be more of a top 20 unit than a top 10 unit but jay hill only two weeks in and what he calls the most complex defense in the country has them looking like top five top ten john henry daly was incredible from the first snap and defensive player of the week in the big ten and the d line showed up they rattled john matier the secondary was extremely tight in coverage outside of the safeties and linebackers at times on rocky beers the tight end i thought smith snowden was underrated player in this game and zeke berry both is a gunner and a defensive back was underrated in this game along with cam brown the punter who pinned him at the the one twice so the michigan didn't even play really that well when you look at how clean it was or not clean they had 11 penalties the most michigan's had since the 2018 northwestern game when you had the phantom holding call on karan higdon um and a few of them were questionable jake winner's hold uh running into the punter dom nichols face mask that was just a cost of doing business penalty they purposely took a delay game before cam brown pinned oklahoma at the one so you could take a few of those maybe away, but the rest of them were killers.

So they still have a big jump to make, I think, once they clean up some of the penalties and once they get the offense to click into gear, which I think can happen at some point.

I think we need to recognize that when you play good teams, there is a decent probability that you could lose, but it doesn't mean your overall body of work is worse.

Would you have read it? Would you have rather Oklahoma played New Mexico State and for Ohio State to play Akron? not trying to take shots at New Mexico State and Akron, but Oklahoma and Ohio State would have won those games.

Instead, they went on the road in very difficult road environments and lost competitive games.

So they've been having a hard time getting people into the stadium.

And the reason I bring this up is that my guy got a bad what end of the stick here.

Because this, I don't even know the guy's name, Offensive Coordinator Joe Schmoe from Akron, Ohio.

He goes out there, offense is humming on four plays.

One of the best promotions I think that you could have out there.

So Akron College, their first home opener, to increase their sales, their season ticket sales, had a raffle for if you are a season ticket, uh, owner here.

The first offensive drive of the game, home opener, you're gonna be able to be the OC.

You can script it, yeah.

But this is the greatest, you know, promotion in sports of a season ticket, actually getting on the field to call, you know, plays.

What say you here?

I mean, it can work at Akron.

They're not expected to win a whole bunch of games.

I was born into a good family in 1968 in Akron, Ohio.

I am the youngest of four children, two brothers and one sister.

My oldest brother, seven years older, followed by my sister, five years older, and my middle brother, four years older.

It was apparently bad enough that my uncle volunteered to serve in-country in Vietnam rather than stay any longer in their father's home.

Mom had to ask the nursing school permission to marry my dad, as she had yet to graduate.

At the time I was born, my mom was working as a nurse in Akron, Ohio.

She stayed home from work after giving birth to me and returned to working when I was just five years old.
