We need to set this apart from anxious distress of a major depressive disorder, right? We need to understand that when we talk about the medication treatment of anxiety, at least for me, I'm not talking about any anxiety.

I'm not talking about anxiety from a personality disorder.

I'm not talking about anxiety, uh, from a life or a stressor or a trauma disorder.

Today, I'm talking about as pure as possible somebody who has a physiological, psychophysiological, temperamental tendency towards trait anxiety.

Uh, not exactly the same as true generalized anxiety disorder, but probably what generalized anxiety disorder is meant to point to.

Yeah, that's one of those things, 'cause anxiety is something that everyone wants treated.

I feel like now it's like we've, you know, we've, we've done episodes on everyone thinks it's ADHD.

The different types of anxieties are different, and there's also contention of whether generalized anxiety disorder is, you know, quote-unquote "real diagnosis."
