I have been digging deep into this matriarchy would never series because it really, really gets me fired up.

And I think if you are in my generation of women, you're maybe Gen X or elder millennial, then you completely understand this frustration that so many of us are feeling right now.

The exasperation when we realized that everything we've been promised our whole lives was not real.

If you were in my generation, you remember Barbie and how she had every single possible career.

And for us in that generation, it was such a huge thing because it was the first time girls were being told you could be anything that you wanted to be.

But the rest of the world, the rest of the culture, the rest of society didn't really catch up.

But what hasn't been said to us is that if you want to be anything, you have to still do everything in order to achieve it.

And that's what I'm trying to break down here and help us see what is happening because only when you can see clearly what is happening and deconstruct it can you figure out a better system, one that actually works for us.

Today's episode is all about the bad advice that has been sold specifically to women, by women, in the language of feminism and female empowerment.

And my goal is by the end of this one, you'll be able to name what you're looking at.
