They'll wrap that up Saturday at Ottawa against the Senators, and the Preds looking to bounce back into the win column after a five-four overtime loss in Toronto on Tuesday.

Uh, Montreal also coming off a loss, six-four in regulation against the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes.

So both teams looking to get back in the win column as they're both one, one, and one on the young season.

It truly was an entertaining one and a thriller, but the Predators came out swinging, starting things off with Steven Stamkos on the power play.

I got so excited about that goal and hearing Max call it that I forgot that we have to make this official with our Smashville headlines.

But another guy that has come out of the gates hot, Nils Höglander, he doubles up the Preds' score.

They'd hold a two-nothing lead going into the first intermission, and about three minutes into that second period, it would be Höglander again.

So that's where that three-nothing lead would come from, from Forsberg and Bork, his first point as a Predator.

Then John Tavares, William Nylander would score for Toronto, making it three-two, but it would be Steven Stamkos once again extending the Preds' lead.

So four-two would be the lead, second goal of the game, third of the year for Stammer from O'Reilly and Shay.

But then Gavin McKenna would score his first career NHL goal at the end of the third, uh, to, uh, to make it, uh, four-three at that point.

And in the third period, Jack Roslovic would score to tie it up for Toronto, and then it would be this in overtime after Juuse Saros stopped a three-on-oh, Toronto get the win.

Nylander would assist, and Matthews gets the OT winner, and the Preds fall five-four in overtime.
