Ouais, ben dans le cas de Cole Hudson, c'est drôle hein, parce qu'au début des matchs préparatoires, c'était mon favori, probablement, pour le quart deux.

Je ne m'attends pas à une saison extraordinaire offensivement.

Je pense qu'il va falloir regarder vraiment les détails minimes pour apprécier ce qu'il peut offrir, mais ça va être une question de temps dans son cas.

Et William Trudeau, c'est évidemment la belle histoire.

And the only player we did get clean from us was William Trudeau, which was like a career AHL or which like he's young, but he's another one who like, if you want to talk about some of the demon that showed out that like kind of had or even just some of the players that showed out that kind of had no chance of making the roster, right? Like Anton bleed who had maybe the best preseason I've ever seen from a player that just knew he wasn't ever making the Rangers roster.

or Mark Delgazzo, who, like, a lot of the fans kind of love because he's, you know, in your face, and he laid that big hit at one point in Jersey.

And, like, those are guys that I thought, okay, those guys will get claimed.

Like, Delgazzo, I thought 100% was going to get claimed.

Like, that's a guy who showed grit, who played defensively responsible, like, did an all right job and didn't get claimed, but then William Trudeau gets claimed.

That one was a head-scratcher to me.

yeah that's where like I think as fans sometimes we forget also not saying you're forgetting this I'm just saying in general but like some players they might know like hey I have no chance in making this roster but if I play very well I can possibly get claimed from you know another team and and I love it when players have that mentality also because like you

Jack Akan has played pretty well in preseason camp.

Nicholas Haag, Roman Yossi, our captain, Ilya Lubinsky, Labushkin I'm sorry Labushkin and Nick Purbix at one point uh Nick and Labushkin were placed on waivers they cleared waivers we brought them back because we were lacking some defensemen so they've been added to the opening day roster Brady Shea as well William Trudeau we picked up from the New York Rangers Ryan Yufko who I thought provided some flashes last year and I'm hoping this almost sophomore type season he played some limited games for us last year um I think he can be – I think he's got such a great upside.

I really like him as a player, and I know a lot of Nashville Pred fans are high on him.

And then Adam Wilsby-Walsby in camp, and then you know our two goalies, Big Juice and Saro.

It's not that you're going to lose them on waivers necessarily, because look at the waiver wire.

How many players get picked up? By the way, William Trudeau was picked up.

Yeah.

Justin Barron, former Hab, is now a St. Louis Blue.

Yeah.

William Trudeau was picked up.

That means he starts the season in the NHL.

Yeah.

Nine defensemen.

Jack Ashon, Nicholas Haig, Roman Yossi, Ilya Labushkin, Nick Purbix, Brady Shea, William Trudeau, Ryan Ufko, and Adam Willsby.

And, of course, in goal, Eustace Onanen and Yussi Saros.

And the one thing that stands out to me, Willie Donick – Nine defensemen at the moment on the opening night roster.

I've never seen nine defensemen before, but you could see how it happened.

A, they grabbed a guy off the waiver wire that they think can help.

Even though he's never played an NHL game, William Trudeau, they must see something analytically that they feel could be an upgrade over what they have.

They kept Jack Ashon, another guy that has been a borderline NHL player.

And even through some of the clips we see in practice, at the end of the day, it is just practice.

So I'm excited to see, you know, how that all plays out and let me know how you feel about that in the comments too because there's still some people out there for some reason that don't think he should have been on the team maybe should have started in Hartford or something like that so a couple other things to to go over too so William Trudeau you might remember him from the trade with the Montreal Canadiens where Brett Berard uh you know was sent the other way well essentially they got nothing out of that trade now because Nashville has claimed uh William Trudeau off waivers as well so just keep that in mind he's not in the organization anymore And the last thing I want to get to here is the final lineup heading into tomorrow night so that first line is staying together so happy about that there was a lot of speculation about breaking them up they were so good last season so they're going to continue to build on that chemistry I'm excited to see what they look like.

That second line could change, right? But everyone's looked pretty good through preseason and camp, right? And we need to see more of it.

But Dorofeev just adds something to that second line.

The odds of him being claimed, we'll see.

We're going to get into Trudeau in a second, too, because he was claimed off waivers yesterday.

We'll see if he gets claimed off waivers.

Not a huge loss.

So, but I think his ability to fill the margins with value signings has been extremely hit or miss at best.

And I would also agree with that now.

Last thing I'll mention here, William Trudeau was claimed off waivers.

So don't tell me Dylan Garan and some of these guys can't get claimed off waivers.
