Heather Cox RichardsonHostwelcome to politics chat in which i try to answer your questions about modern politics i keep saying this i'm going to start in a place today you didn't expect and that's because um Things are changing really quickly and there is a lot to cover and I will cover a lot of the material from today, but I wanted to start with something that I'm not sure very many people saw.
And that is that there is a story out of Ohio that called into question a deal that Governor John Kasich put into effect when he was governor of the state almost eight years ago, somewhere between 2014 and 2016.
And the reason that I mention that is it is a a deal he made with tech companies that would apparently grant them 100% exemption from sales taxes for up to 40 years on any facility they built in Ohio.
Now, why am I calling that out? The reason that I'm looking at that today is because it really made me think of something that I think does matter a lot in this moment.
