Gordo, Sammy, and Pat get the chance to speak with Red Sox replay coordinator and staff assistant Mike Brenly about all the ins and outs about challenging a play. Brenly also discusses his journey…
Mike BrenlyGuestGordoHostPatHostSammyHostWe appreciate you coming on and we just got to start because I mean, you're you're on the ends here.
I got I got to ask how you feel just in general about this team.
Obviously, it's been a wild road to get here, but we're less than I mean, the playoffs.
It's crazy.
They start in September.
We're in September.
We're a week into this thing.
So how do you feel just right now about the state of the team?

And, you know, I think anyone that's been involved with the team, especially on a day to day basis, you go through stretches in a season where you feel like you're never going to lose a game.

You know, I equate it back to the 2018 team and it didn't matter what the score was, who was pitching, who we were playing, what the circumstances were.

Like, wait a minute, what just happened? We lost the game? And then we'd go reel off 10, 12, 11 in a row, whatever it was.

Who's going to give up a homer? Who's going to ground into a double play? Who's going to make an error? It's just a feeling that engulfs the room.

But lately, I mean, it's just been that feeling of who's going to be the hero tonight.

You know, whether it's Mickey, whether it's Siegler or Sogi, down the list, name a guy.

It's been really cool to see these role guys come up and fill a unique role and just run with their opportunities.
