[upbeat music] So I had a, a crossover with a podcast that I'm doing for my day job and the Planxty podcast because, uh, my day job is I work with a company that helps lawyers with business development.

So I'm a business development coach and trainer and educator, and part of what we're doing is this podcast called the BD Catalyst, the Business Development Catalyst.

And a friend of mine from the law firm marketing and business development world is also an Irish dance parent.

And so I- she, and she was a guest on the BD Catalyst a couple of weeks ago, and so I said, "Kaylee, do you mind if I ask you, what about lawyer business development have you learned from Irish dance?" And she went deep.

It, it, we talk about the life lessons I think that dancers get, um, no matter what their age is from Irish dance, and how you can bring those things into other aspects of your life.

And I don't think we talk enough about, you know, what the parents get out of it, because I think parents do get a lot of really, you know, really strong, you know, benefit, you know, friendships, the community you can make.

Um, but yeah, like, you know, 'cause well, what's an example of, like, one of the lessons that she was talking about on the podcast, out of curiosity?

Well, what was it, I mean, I sort of teed it up as, you know, she and I are both, uh, you know, in our day jobs, uh, our job is to help make other people more successful, and there are a variety of tactics and, and techniques there.

Um, and, and I said, and as Irish dance parents, like, it's our job in a way to help our kids, you know, be as successful as they can be, um, and, and without actually doing it for them, obviously.
