So, um, it was kind of thought, yeah, um-

um-It would be great to do that.

I'd enjoy doing it.

It's something I'd do anyway, you know? So I had, uh, I actually put two entries into the competition.

Uh, I don't know if you're aware.

The one was "The Vanishing Lake," and the other one was called "The Bard's Journey," which is, uh, also a jigsaw dance.

It was funny, um, you know, when I recorded them, I sent them to my, my co-dance teachers, Mairead and Orla Ní Bhréain.

Mm.

Um, I was, I was wondering if maybe you could talk a little bit about your, like, early Irish, you know, traditional performing arts life and how you got to the point where you were getting to the Bachelor in Arts, uh, in Irish music.

Yeah, sure.

Um- So I grew up in a family in the northeast of Ireland in, in County Antrim.

Um, my family were big into hurling, which is the, one of the Irish national sports.

Um, my parents would have had a great love of music, but not had a, a great opportunity to play.

Um, but, uh, my mom would have danced.

Uh, so I started my kind of foray into Irish traditional arts was actually through dance, first of all.
