But this Thursday, I'm going to be on Doom Debates, which is a show hosted by Liran Shapira.

The mascot of the show is that dog from the meme where they're sitting at the desk and everything's on fire, I think.

I'm a little jealous, but I'm not that much of a doomer, so I have to pick a more optimistic one, I guess.

And we were talking about this last week, and you suggested, Carl, like, hey, let's just...

when we're prepping for this, you know, as I'm getting ready for this debate, such as it is, let's just talk it through.

But even at that time, I don't think we would have anticipated how many things would have hit in the last seven days.

Yeah, that was prior to the anthropic guy quitting and causing a firestorm and then all the fallout from that and everything else that happened we should be clear though that you're recording this thursday we don't actually know when the episode's going to be out so it's quite possible that this episode that you're listening to right now will drop before casey's interview drops whenever those happen but we'll whenever that's whenever they actually show up we'll put links to them in the description down below

But will we let Liran Shapira see it? Because what if he gets that vital information about how I'm planning on debating? Well, this is where I don't care because the big picture thing is I just want to have what the true beliefs are about AI.

There's some strategic things that go into it, but this I view very differently than I was in high school debate.

I understand a debate strategy where you're going to go try and beat someone on the stage or something like that.

You got the one physicist over here who writes up their best argument with all of the math and then they publish it.
