A documentary on Elon Musk is making the festival rounds and it got such good reviews that its U.S. distributor pushed the release date up by a week to October 9th.

The film is from Oscar and Emmy-winning director Alex Gibney, who's known for documentaries like Going Clear about Scientology and Enron, the smartest guys in the room, about, well, Enron.

This new documentary, which is nearly four hours long with a 10-minute intermission, reportedly covers Musk's entrepreneurial start, then follows his rise to fame and covers his more recent political involvement with President Trump and the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Musk has not let this movie sink in, calling it a hit piece back in 2023 when the film concept was announced and calling Gibney a bitter old man with zero integrity after it premiered at the Venice International Film Festival earlier this month, though there's no indication that he's actually seen the movie.

And what we get is we get this wild stuff that for me, as someone that's done philosophy of mind and read quite a bit of neuropsychology stuff related to it, I bloody hate this thing.

The Scientologists do it all the time.

The phrase, we're only using 10% of our brain power.

He started the Malthusian League, which is, you know, all about depopulation.

And Aldous Huxley, you know, he was a part of that.

And he literally goes over to Esalen Institute, which is where like Terrence McKenna comes out of.

And that's where the Joe Rogan shit comes out of.

So it's this you can see this draw this the kind of evolution all the way from, you know, Malthus to, you know, Margaret Sanger with Planned Parenthood to Scientology with this spiritual eugenics, which is what they practice.

this idea that you know there's only certain people that are meant to ascend and the rest need to go uh you know they they admit that they are the pale horse they're the ones that come to bring death and it's on the christians it's on the believers and that's the plan and you're exactly right and i wonder you know do you know are you big into i don't want to get onto this tangent but you know i assume you know i assume you don't aren't into the little satan's little seasons

All aboard the cruise cruise as we sail through Top Gun and The Color of Money from 40 years ago, the hits Mission Impossible and Jerry Maguire from 30 years ago, and the trippy Vanilla Sky from 25 years ago.

Also this year marked big anniversaries for Tom's personal life, like divorcing Nicole Kidman 25 years ago in the summer of 2001 because of Scientology.

Huge divorce at the time.

And also welcoming his baby girl Suri, one of the most famous babies in the history of time, 20 years ago in the spring of 2006.

But she just officially dropped his last name since he hasn't really been around for her and her mother Katie Holmes because of, you know, Scientology.

I believe The Color of Money is the only one not streaming with a subscription at the moment, so you could rent that or borrow from your library or find it wherever.

I kind of like, I came to terms with it.

And so now I take the best from every group, right? So when my mom was involved in Scientology, I ended up going to some Scientology stuff.

And even though they're totally nuts, I'm telling you, they make you stare into each other's eyes for an hour straight is one of their practices.

It's something I saw in both Scientology and Jehovah's Witnesses is the smart ones, the ones that have it figured out, the double lifers, they're careful.

They're really, really careful.

He had his own flat, but I think people may have cooked for him and all that.

And he was 97 or something like that.
