In other words, words, the years that David spent on the run trying to evade being captured and killed by Saul.

Now, the events that occurred during his years as a fugitive are recorded in the Book of 1 Samuel, beginning in chapters 20... or chapter 20 going all the way to chapter 31.

So two weeks ago, what I did when we started this period of the fugitive years is I listed all of the events on a slide, and that occurred during this time period, and I projected them onto the back wall where you could see them.

Now, as I said then, I'll continually say it as we go through this period, that I don't have time to cover all of these events in detail.

So what I'm doing is I'm skimming over them, and I'm stopping from time to time to point out something that I think is very important or to make application.

This is very difficult for me, but I am pressing on and pressuring myself to do this.

So this morning we're gonna start with the fifth event on the list, and it's recorded in 1 Samuel chapter 22, verses 3 and 4.

"Mizpeh in Moab, where he asked the king, 'Please allow my father and mother to live here with you until I know what God is going to do for me.' So David's parents stayed in Moab with the king during the entire time David was living in his stronghold." Now, as I said last week, when word got out that David was hiding in the cave of Adullam, his family went to meet him.

You see, once the word got out that David was a fugitive, his family realized that they were also in danger.

If Saul would try and kill his own son for aiding and abetting David, what would he do to David's family? And of course, David's family's going to help him, so they knew immediately not only would David...

So when they heard that David was hiding in the cave of Adullam, they went to meet him.
