Incorruptibility

Both of us, no doubt, had been much longer there had we not been interrupted.

So the gist of this show, it's called The Incorruptibles, which are saints that for all intents and purposes have not given in to normal decay after death.

There's really no scientific explanation that I could find for some of these incorruptible saints, although skeptics and academia offer very weak, in my opinion, very weak possible explanations.

For example, science and skeptics argue that the incorruptibility is just natural mummification, right? Which is fine.

The two main leaders of the radicals were Maximilien Robespierre and Georges Danton.

Maximilian Robespierre, that weird little provincial lawyer from the Estates General, was 34 years old and known as the Incorruptible.

He just wasn't corrupt, wasn't greedy, he didn't drink or womanize or have any bad habits.

He just seemed to be perfect, stainless, incorruptible, and he didn't even seem to really want anything except to be right.

And the man who led these trials in the convention was Louis-Antoine de Saint-Just, 25 years old.

So young, so handsome, and so cold and merciless that the Parisians started calling him the Angel of Death.

But behind him was his mentor, Robespierre the Incorruptible, who believed they must purge the wicked so the pure republic could be born.
