We already talked about it in the game one, uh, recap, but oh my God, Michael King, probably the best performance we've seen from him ever.
I made a poll talking about, uh, do we like his game one start against the Braves in 2024 more, or do we like this start? And a lot of people...
But I feel like a lot of people still think the Cubs with the number one offense that they had the entire league, like there's no better offense than them, and we just beat them.
So I know I just said things are gonna get harder from here, and they will, don't get me wrong, but we did beat the best offense, so I do like that, right? And not only did we beat them, we kept them to only one run.
Uh, pitching wise, Michael King, 17 whiffs, which was the second most in a game in 2026.
About 98 on the fastball, which is the hardest pitch he's thrown in three plus years.
So eight strikeouts, one hit, threw a no-hitter into the seventh, uh, and Machado could have fielded that, but it still would've been close.
But yeah, and then after that we had Yuki Matsui with three up, three down, and then Joe Musgrove with his first appearance in nearly two years.
