Like John Lock on LOST once said, "That's not what was supposed to happen". Let's talk about it, AND get ready for the Bucs, here…on YOUR Packers Fan Podcast…
So as far as recapping the Packers loss to the Falcons, team leaders, stuff like that, I, I got nothing as far as team leaders.
Uh, special shout-outs, of course, to our punter, Daniel Whelan, doing a great job as always, and a special shout-out to the, uh, fan that they caught in the stands on camera checking her pulse, wondering if she was still alive, what is happening.
Uh, those were, were kind of the big highlights of [chuckles] that particular thing.
Oh, there was one other thing that was a great, uh, standout part was they highlighted a Packers fan in the stands that has been a season ticket holder since 1963 and has been to every single home game, even the ones in Milwaukee, since 1963.
That definitely calls for a "Go, Pack, go!" As far as the game itself, could be the worst Packers game I've ever seen, ever.
I mean, aside from a few great catches from Golden and Watson, the offense stunk.
The defense, as you know, was also terrible, aside from Xavier McKinney's in- interception and, yeah, of course, the defense was on the field so long that they were gassed by halftime.
I realize he can't fix it all, but we need everything we can get, okay? And does anyone have a spare offensive line in good working order for a good price? 'Cause Jordan Love is getting destroyed out there.
I do realize that just in the past couple of days, the Packers have signed a couple of offensive linemen, got them from other teams and stuff like that.
I hope that they'll be able to go in there and protect Jordan Love's blind side, as well as his non-blind side, and any other side that's out there.
I mean, it's bad enough that Micah Parsons is still out injured, and then we get the questionable calls and an offensive line that's in shambles.
And whatever happened due to the Josh Jacobs situation, it's making it almost impossible to even try to run the ball.
How can so many things go wrong at the same time, especially since a year ago we were on quite the roll until the Micah Parsons injury? So it brings up the, uh, poll question, like, should the Packers do anything about Matt LaFleur, and if so, when? In other words, should he be fired, like, immediately, or maybe fire him at the end of the season, or no, just carry on with the things they were.
But we got a very intriguing write-in vote from Sir Scott Clark, and his, uh, option was let Jordan Love make the play calls for the rest of the season as an experiment.
And you know what? I really like that, and I'm gonna cast my vote for Scott's write-in vote.
After all the votes were tallied up and then combined with X, uh, we got 44% for, you know, basically get rid of Matt LaFleur and do it immediately or do something with him.
21% of the votes, which would definitely be higher if the write-in vote option was over there on X as well, but 21% went with let Jordan Love make the play calls for the rest of the season as an experiment.
