It was a fumble-fest, among other things, in the rain at East Rutherford. But it came together in Overtime! And, I am so thankful that the Packers finally get to play at Lambeau Field this week…
So to recap the Packers win over the Jets, basically in the passing category, Jordan Love was 16 of 29, 145 yards, two touchdowns.
Rushing, Caleb Johnson was the, uh, leader this week for the Pack, eight carries, 32 yards.
And on the receiving side of things, Matthew Golden, four receptions and 58 yards.
On the defensive side of things, Lucas Van Ness, 10 tackles, six of them solo, one and a half sacks, and three tackles were for a loss, and then there were four quarterback hits.
His return game was definitely a lifesaver for the Packers this week, and Daniel Whelan's spectacular performance on almost all of his punts, great to see that continuing.
As you saw, wideout Jaden Reed getting a serious back injury, which at first glance seemed to be a neck injury, but lately they've been calling it a back injury.
Uh, nothing official yet other than what he has, uh, tweeted out basically from the hospital saying that he appreciates everybody's prayers and that he's getting better every day.
And was it the very next play or two plays later? Either way, it was [laughs] on the first drive, lineman Zach Tom, now Zach Bakaba-uele, he went down with a knee injury just a play or two later on the punt.
Always the injuries are sad to see, but, uh, two on the opening drive, it got us nervous.
On the plus side, Marshawn Lloyd picked the right time to get his first ever touchdown as a professional football player.
