Hello, Audio Visitors! This week, we recap Sean’s experience at Marceline Magic in Marceline, Missouri! Episode 243: Marceline Magic Listen here…
The town is, you know, it's small.
Not a lot there, but it's charming enough.
But the museum is incredible.
It really is.
And so...
So walk me through kind of your first impression,
because you stayed
not in Marceline, right? You were staying— Right.
Well, yeah.
So, of course, I bought the ticket, and I was like, well, where am I going to stay? And when you purchase the ticket, they're like, accommodations have been— Set up – there are a certain number of rooms reserved and of course your hotel was not included in the cost of your ticket.
So they're like, but once you've bought a ticket, we'll give you a link to the hotel.
Of course I tried to go in as a travel agent and see – could I get my travel agent rate? No.
The answer was no.
I was like, could I just book this if I were trying to book a room at that hotel? It's like, no.
It was listed as sold out.
So I'm like, okay.
And so – I got my link when I got the ticket and went straight to the website link and reserved my hotel room.
And it was for a lovely little Fairfield Inn and Suites, which is a Marriott property, and I stay at them frequently.
And one plus I knew was, first of all, the great little hotels.
And they have free breakfast in the morning.
So I was like, well, that's great.
And – So I worked on – so all the – this was Friday and Saturday basically.
So I worked until noon on Friday and then I was like it's just a four-hour drive.
