wrong? Sort of 2022, I started to notice, and I'm not the only one who noticed, that something had really changed about how Canada was doing immigration.
The Trudeau government had very substantially changed some things, and I really believed not for the better, considerably for the worse, and that's when I started looking into immigration.
Who made the final decision on that? And was it ideological? Was it political? Or was it the lobbying efforts?
I think that is the best answer we can arrive at is the Trudeau government has a predilection to believe that more immigration is always better than less immigration.
At the same time, they are being lobbied by the business community, which is saying that Canada has a labor shortage.
Do you think journalists were afraid to question the immigration policy to be associated with xenophobia and racism?
Yeah, because I think, you know, we kind of got into an era of peak woke right at that moment, circa 2020.
Did immigration cause the housing crisis or expose a country that already failed to build?
I would never say it caused the housing crisis because Canada had this strange situation of kind of underinvestment.
