A new poll by the Siena Research Institute shows a tight race for New York's 21st congressional district.
The poll, conducted in collaboration with WAMC, the Times Union, and WPTZ, shows Blake Jendebean, the Democratic dairy farmer from Lisbon, has a four-point lead over GOP candidate Anthony Constantino, 46% to 42%.
The poll, which surveyed nearly 500 likely voters in the district between September 30th and October 6th, found while Constantino has 65% support among Republicans, 21% of GOP respondents said they would vote for Jen DeBean if the election were held now.
The poll also found 84% of Democratic respondents said Jen DeBean is in touch with average New Yorkers, while 63% of Republicans said the same of Constantino.
The North Country District, represented by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, has leaned heavily Republican since 2014.
