And the first one, shocker, is run the football, right? You could say this pretty much every week, but there may not be a week where it is more important to run the football than this week right here.

The 49ers offense didn't stand a chance last year against the Seahawks in week 18 or the divisional season.

Normally the way that you punish a nickel defense, which is when you bring an extra defensive back on the field, normally the way you punish that is by running the football, right? Because if they bring an extra DB on the field, that means they've got smaller personnel, and you just run it down their throats, and it works great.

But the Niners were unable to get anything against the Seahawks' nickel defense on the ground.

So Seattle could just stay in nickel and shut down the pass while not giving up anything against the run.

And it should be said, not the only team, right? Not the only team that got totally stymied by this defensive approach.

You have to, have to threaten this run defense enough to get them out of their nickel personnel.

Because if you don't, then they're just going to shut down the passing game and it'll be toast.

Of course, I do want to see CMC as well, but I want to see a lot of Kalon Black.
