Daniel Levy thought that we've, we've [chuckles] we've been done, we've been mugged.

But how, what's your view of him? 'Cause we, we saw him in the World Cup the other night, not all that convincing.

Uh, unfortunately, I've just returned from Portugal on holiday, so I've only seen 20 minutes here, half a game there, pr- maybe maximum an hour.

So I didn't actually see that one, but I've got a sort of image of him playing for Brighton.

And a typical defender, if Brian Clough would say, "You're a number five, son, edit and kick it." And that's how I see him.

I'm not sure that he's that great on the ball, but I wanna be surprised by that when, when we see more of him.

Daniel sort of, if he did say what he said, then he's sort of gone a bit too strong, I think, and, you know, players are under enough pressure as it is without having that sort of tag around their neck.

But yeah, I, of course, I wish him well, and he knows his partner, other center-back partner.

And yeah, I think we've done all right out of Holland before, and hopefully we do so this time.

So what about you, Lee? I mean, I did say on an earlier show that I didn't know a great deal about Van Hecke and that, you know, of course, I've now done all my Wikipedia-ing and my YouTube-ing and, yeah, he looks like a player who progresses the ball well.

Uh, but, you know, first and foremost, our defense has been a bit shit over recent times.

Is he a good enough defender first? That's, you know, that's, that's the key right now as, as, as, as Steve says.

I mean, I'm, I'm gonna kind of, uh, contradict Steve here a bit, so I do apologize [chuckles].

From everything I've sort of seen and read, he, he seems to be actually a really good passer of the ball, as well as a good defender, and a lot of Brighton's best passes come from him.

In fact, I think last season, the stats show that he was the best passer in the Premier League, even as a defender.
