Keith Burkinshaw

I know the story.

So it's, Keith Burkinshaw was the, the manager.

We, uh, had, uh, he had a, a very good, and this, this gentleman became a very, very good friend of mine, um, a gentleman called Krish Naidoo, um, was, um, born in, in South Africa, Indian, uh, heritage, um, but had moved to Dublin, and, uh, was working in Dublin.

A massive, uh, Tottenham supporter, and his, his Tottenham, um, roots came back from when the Tottenham s- team with Bill Nicholson, uh, went to South Africa and I think played a couple of games.

And from that moment, he was a, a huge, um, Tottenham supporter.

Um, so he'd, he'd found out that my, my mother was, was Irish, um, had mentioned that to, uh, Keith Burkinshaw at the time, but had, had also mentioned it to Johnny Giles, who's, who was a Republic of Ireland manager at the time.

Uh, I was cont- contacted, uh, uh, by them or through Keith, but by the, the association, um, and decided that's what I want you to do.

Um- Whether I know Keith at the time felt that, that I maybe should wait because at the time I was, I was doing well, but that was the contact that I had, and I, I hadn't had no contacts, um, through England ranks or, or Ghana, where my, my father's from.
