As we read, some who through faith conquer kingdoms, they perform acts of righteousness, they quench the power of fire, they escape the edge of the sword, And from weakness they found strength.
We have some like Daniel, like others, that they did what they did, represented God and escaped unharmed.
Others were tortured, not accepting their release, so they might obtain a better resurrection, destitute, afflicted, ill-treated, men of whom the world was not worth it.
Like when you are called to serve God, and we all are, we're going to get the good and the bad.
But I want to read Hebrews 11 today, not as a museum, not as something that like, oh, those guys in the past, like only happened on biblical times.
But I want to read Hebrews 11 as an open ledger where the modern chapters are still being written by you, by me, by all of us.
