Brent WinkGuestJerry FitzgeraldMorgan McCarthyWhen I look at their salary ca- salaries, which I do a little bit of research, I know some things, they are 19th when it comes to how much money they pay to their players, and the Dodgers are number one.
They went and did a great job with things and, and it's always fun to see different people doing great things.
Brewers are moving on to the World Series because everybody pretty much played a part, the pitching staff, the hitting, the fielding, and the managing.
Pat Murphy, he'll be manager of the year for the, I think, third year in a row, and deservedly so.
And it was funny, the one thing I was waiting for in the, uh, celebration in the locker room afterward was how long was gonna take him to allude to Bob Uecker.
You know, Bob Uecker for 50 years the announcer for the Brewers, and just he would be in the locker room celebrating with those guys when they won a division or this, that, and the other thing.
And of course, he, uh, left us here a year or so ago, 90, I don't know, 90-some years old.
But still, at some of the games announcing, whenever he could go, he was always welcome in the booth, and a legend unto himself.
And I know Pat Murphy had read letters before, and last night he said, "Well, I got a text this time from Ueck." [laughs] So I mean, Uecker is still a big, big part of this team because most of these players were here before Uecker passed away.
But it will be fun to see, I'm sure, Robin Yount, Cecil Cooper, Paul Molitor, all kinds of guys that used to play for the Brewers that played in that '82 World Series.
And I was around for the 1982 World Series when they were up three games to two against the St. Louis Cardinals and ended up losing that series.
