Is Manchester City too politically important to punish properly?

There was that show, was it McMillionaires or something? There was this b- big backlash.

So I think this really strikes home.

And I think there's an interesting contrast between the way that the UK are, are thinking about Man City and this obvious state ownership of Man City and what's happened in France, where there doesn't seem to be a lot of ill content about a Qatar and PSG.

And it seems as though there's an open kind of collusion between the French government and the Qataris.

John, I, I will slightly pull you up about that.

There's a lot of discontent in France about the financial doping of PSG.

There absolutely is.

And when you look at the amount of money that PSG spend on wages and transfers, it's something like eight times more than the next team.

The fact, the fact that whoever came second in the French league last year, I, I don't know, Toulouse, whoever, that a team can come second and it's mildly competitive belies when you look at the financial, the, the financial money that's going into PSG.

But anyway, what I wanna do, gentlemen, very quickly, so we need to wrap this up 'cause we're around about the 30-minute mark, is to say this.

As somebo- I'm a Birmingham City fan through and through.

I lived in Manchester for a year, and at that point Manchester United had just started their dominance, so I have an affinity, I had an affinity towards Manchester City, right? They're the, they're the underdog team.

I'm all about that.

And funnily enough, Manchester City in 1988 beat Huddersfield 10-1.

I was at that match.

Right, so, um, the question is what should be the sanction, or what do we think the sanction is going to be? I will go first.

I actually think Manchester City should be demoted to League Two, seriously, because give them a demotion of, let's say, a reduction, sorry, of 60 points, 80 points means you're relegated.

A lot of players will go, they'll spend one year in the championship, and they'll be back.

For me, nine years of cheating, that's not enough as a sanction.

It's not.

What needs to happen to Manchester City needs to be what happened to Rangers.

You're going down four divisions, and you're gonna have to fight your way back.
