Katie CampbellHostDyer OxleyHostHi, I'm Tucker Stone, and I'm the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing at Fantagraphics, which means my full-time job that gives me health insurance is to tell people how good Gilbert Hernandez is.
My favorite Fantagraphics publication will always and forever be every single issue of the Comics Journal where Gary or Kim or Eric or anyone else took the people to task and made them hold all this stuff, this comic stuff, up to higher standards.
I don't know, it set the bar so incredibly high.
I'm a cartoonist who has been with Fantagraphics for about 40 of their 50 years.
My magazine, Jim, was the lowest selling title in their roster, but they kept it going because they believed it had artistic value and that was of paramount importance to them.
They gave me my big break and have stood by me throughout our relationship.
So I'm damn glad they exist.
