With Allen (@amedlock1) back in the saddle, he and Daniel (@C70) spend some time talking about the end of the Cardinals' season as they have guaranteed themselves back-to-back losing seasons for the…
Alan MedlockHostTwo games left, and Allen, they've clinched a sub-500 record, been eliminated from the playoffs.

You know, as fans, you know, for anybody that listens, we kind of had our personal goals that we wanted to see.

You know, the one, the longstanding one of, hey, let's just – don't ruin our summer and, you know, let's, uh, let's stay in it as long as we can watch some good baseball and whatnot.

This, this year kind of came with a caveat of, you know, it could have ruined the summer early.

But, you know, the playoffs were one thing, and staying 500 or being above 500 we thought would have been a big goal for them to get.

And, you know, here we are, and now we're talking more about development and, you know, things like that.

And that was a lot of fun, you know, to see some guys that, you know, new to the organization, you know, and drafted in the past couple of years.

But as far as the big team, big league team goes, you know, it's a, you know, slug through, get your personal, get some of your personal goals and numbers that you've been looking to do and finish out and look forward to next year.

I've listened to a bunch of the podcasts and shows this week of, of, you know, we have this idea that, Hey, things went well.

And I think there was a lot of questions that were answered, but you know, It still is back-to-back years of playing under .500 baseball, and I'm surprised of the naysayers that have kind of came out and really spoke their mind about some of the positions.

I guess I shouldn't be shocked, but it did surprise me how loud some of that's been.
You know, you could deal with a lot of the struggles and the rebuilding and all that, but you look back and the Cardinals are hitting their first back-to-back under .500 for the first time since the 50s, I think.
