إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ That when the victory of Allah comes in triumph.

وَالْفَتْحُ If someone says, oh, I always pronounce it وَالْفَتْحُ Don't worry, that's right.

وَالْفَتْحُ I just recited the dhamma if you're joining it.

But there's وَقْبِ الْإِسْكَانِ When you stop there, then the وَالْفَتْحُ becomes وَالْفَتْحُ إِذَا جَاءَ نَصُلُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ And if you connect it, it will become وَالْفَتْحُ So when this happens then وَرَأِيْتَ النَّاسَ And you will see the people يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا They will be entering into the deen of Allah In throngs, in groups, in فوجن أفواجن In armies, big groups فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ Then make the tasbih of Allah along with the hamd of Allah.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ And seek Allah's forgiveness.

Make istighfar.

إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا Verily He is the one who continually accepts the tawbah.

So this is referring to, when was this ayah revealed? We're talking about سَبُّبُ النَّزُول.

This is regarding the Fatah Makkah.

When the conquest of Makkah happened, then this is a prophecy regarding that and this is giving the instruction to Rasulullah ﷺ how to respond.

So this is the time period.

It is not necessarily fixed to a particular date.

Like there are other ayat where there is a date set.

Famously the one that comes to mind of course is the one with the rabbi coming to Umar bin Khattab radiallahu anhu and mocking him and saying there is an ayah that is revealed.

You don't know when it was revealed.

If it was revealed in our book then we would celebrate that day but you forgot.

He said don't be too happy about it.

We do remember it was the 9th of Dhul Hijjah in the 10th year of Hijrah.

The day was a Friday.

When Nabi ﷺ was in Arafat in the Hajj al-Wada' and the ayah was revealed, So in that case, we know the exact date and the exact place.

We're here, it's around that period of time.

The Nasrullah, when the help of Allah will come, wal-fath in the triumph.

The Nasrullah is the victories and the help of Allah that is leading to the final objective, which was the conquest of Mecca, al-fathu.

So when you have in Arabic, the students know that there's a possessive phrase, مُرَكَّبِ ضَافِي.
