Āyah

So a Muslim generally shows neglect.

Whether I make it for Salat with Jamaat or not, whether I read the Salat fast without even once thinking of Allah in my Salat, whether I understand the Ayat of Quran or not, really doesn't matter.

It's about completing a curriculum.

I've got to read my five times daily Salat and that gives them so much.

Let's sweat, but turn to Allah and make tawbah in Istighfar.

Tawba and istighfar is one of the easiest way to take from Allah.

So sometimes in Salat, if you read the Ayat of Quran of Tawba, read Ayat-e-Karima in Salat, they can't be a bigger tool to take from Allah.

We say repeat Ayat of Quran inside Salat, isn't it? Sometimes Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim, sometimes Qullu Allahu Wahad.

So whenever I am there, people always put me forward to lead Salah.

So when I'm leading Salah, say I have the intention that I will recite, say, 20 Ayats.

But the minute I start reciting, when I've done two or three ayat, the thought comes into my mind that I am doing this to please the people, not to please Allah.

I am doing this so people will say, oh mashallah, what a beautiful Qari, what beautiful Qara.

Right? But the point of it is, is that we either do of the Qur'an and think about these things in the Qur'an.

And reading the Qur'an and contemplating also helps a lot because all of these are ayat.

Ayat are signs.

Signs point us into a direction.

So there's a , right? There's an apparent meaning from these are actual true , true stories, but they're also indications of things that take place today.

I think that most Muslims, they know Surah Al-Fatiha.

I think that most Muslims, they know Ayat Al-Kursi, Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falak, and Surah An-Nas.

I think most Muslims, even our children, they know these things.

And if you don't know them, they're not difficult to learn.

Learn these key Surahs.

Learn these key Ayat.

and recite them daily for at least an hour.

Just recite Surah Al-Fatihah seven times, Ayat Al-Qursi seven times, the last two of Surah Al-Baqarah seven times, Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad seven times, Falak seven times, Naas seven times.

And today, inshallah, we'll be continuing.

We'll be taking from Ayahs number 33 to 41.

We'll be taking from Ayahs number 33 to 41 of Surah An-Najm, bismillah.

وَأَعْطَى قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَى أَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَى أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَى وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى وَأَن لَيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى وَأَنَّ سَعَيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَى ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَى Allah Almighty says, أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّى وَأَعْطَى قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَى أَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَى أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَى وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى أَنْ لَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى وَأَنْ لَيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى وَأَنَّ سَع Have you seen the one who turned away and gave a little, then withheld? Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Musa and of Ibrahim, who fulfilled that no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another, and that a person will have nothing except what he strives for? and that his striving will soon be seen, then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense.

For the general meaning of these ayat is that in these ayat Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala expresses his amazement, expresses his ta'ajub to the Prophet ﷺ at the condition of one of the stubborn mushrikun.

That is it.

So the Quranic reference that Sister Rewana made mention to listeners was from Surah Ma'arij, Ayah number 19.

Allah SWT says, Indeed, mankind was created anxious.

So Surah Al-Ma'arij, Ayah number 19.

So yes, structuring our days and our lives around salah is such a game changer, absolutely.

Now, coach, many of our young people experience anxiety as do we at all ages.
